Initially we will need a general idea of what you are seeking services for to ensure we have the necessary skills. We will also ask about insurance and preferred communication methods.
Once your first appointment is scheduled we will ask for a bit more details in regards to your reason for seeking therapy, mental health history, biological health, education, and employment. Only share what you are comfortable, just keep in mind that the more information you provide, the more we can tailor your intake appointment.

The first session is typically called the intake appointment and is all about getting to know you. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’d like to work on, and any questions you have. It’s relaxed and judgment-free — there’s no pressure to share anything you’re not ready to.

50-55 Minutes
We will usually chat for about 50 minutes and use the remaining 5 for scheduling, billing, and general house keeping.

Yes! We offer secure, confidential telehealth therapy for clients anywhere in North Carolina. All you need is a quiet space and a reliable internet connection.

Yes, we have a comfortable and private office space located in Cary, NC.

The average client meets once a week or once every 2 weeks. This can vary greatly depending on goals, progress, and availability.

Yes,
We are not able to provide care for individuals who meet any of the following criteria:
Under 18 years of age
Have been hospitalized for a mental health related concern in the last 6 months
Have been hospitalized for a substance use related concern in the last 6 months
Experienced active suicidal thoughts or behaviors with in the last 6 months.
Seeking support for disordered eating or an active eating disorder
Diagnosed with a personality disorder and seeking treatment for that diagnosis
Navigating symptoms related to Bipolar Disorders
Experiencing psychosis or symptoms involving a loss of contact with reality

Each session is a private, judgment free, space where we talk about whats been going on in your life, thoughts, feelings, or situations that are most present for you. It helps to come prepared but you dont need to have it all figured out. If you ever feel stuck or unsure, thats okay! we’ll return to your original goals to guide the conversation. Therapy is all about a willingness to share and learn.

Yes — we’re in-network with several insurance providers. Please visit our insurance page or reach out if you’d like help verifying your coverage.

If we’re out-of-network, you can still work with us as a self-pay client. We can also provide a “superbill” you can submit for possible reimbursement from your insurance company.

We offer limited sliding scale options to established clients experiencing a financial strain. Please let us know if cost is a concern, and we’ll see what’s possible.

You can request an appointment through our Client Portal or contact us directly. If you need to reschedule, we just ask for at least 24 hours’ notice.

We understand that life happens! We ask for 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Late cancellations may be subject to a fee.
