I offer in-person therapy in Cary, NC and virtual therapy throughout North Carolina.

I work with people who…

  • Appear capable on the outside but privately battle anxiety that keeps them up at night

  • Struggle with depression that makes everyday tasks feel impossible.

  • Having trouble navigating ADHD and executive functioning challenges—like procrastination, forgetfulness, or constantly feeling behind.

  • Want to feel more confident in themselves, set boundaries with assertiveness, and manage stress that shows up as irritability, exhaustion, or burnout.

  • Working to manage mild substance use or seeking clarity for a loved on struggling with addiction.

Hi, I’m Erica.

I’m a dedicated therapist with a flair for shoes, a penchant for colorful language, and an unyielding passion for empowering others. If you’re looking for a blank slate that just nods their head while you go over the same things on repeat, I’m probably not the right fit for you. I show up as my full, authentic self because I believe that’s the only way you’ll feel safe enough to do the same.

Therapy with me is rooted in practicality and purpose. — This means we’ll take a solution focused approach, when necessary, zooming in on what’s not working, figuring out why it’s happening, and how we can shift it to better serve you.

Each session will start with whatever’s showing up for you that day. Sometimes that leads us to digging into tough questions, unpacking past experiences, or sitting with the stuff that doesn’t have easy answers. Ultimately, my goal for you is to leave each session with something: an “a-ha!" moment, a new skill, a lighter heart, or a new way of looking at things.

Either way, you don’t need to come with a perfectly organized story or a checklist of symptoms; just bring yourself, exactly as you are, and I’ll meet you there.

So, if you're ready to let go of what's holding you back, speak your truth, and take meaningful steps toward self-discovery, I'm here to walk alongside you every step of the way.

Specializing In…

  • Maybe you're going through the motions: work, family, daily routines, but everything feels heavy and joyless, like you’re dragging yourself through mud.

Maybe you’re carrying the weight of constant fear and worry, but getting rid of it sounds even more scary.

Instead of following unhelpful thoughts down a rabbit hole, lets pause, challenge those thoughts, and shift to something more balanced and helpful.

It’s not about pretending everything’s fine, it’s about learning how to respond differently when things aren’t fine. And that can change everything.

  • Struggle with procrastination, miss placing your keys (again), keeping your space organized, or calling yourself lazy? That might be executive dysfunction.

As an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider we can work to develop practical skills to keep you on track.

  • You might be second-guessing yourself after every conversation, saying yes when you really want to say no, shrinking yourself to “keep the peace”, over-apologizing, or feeling like you’re not “enough” no matter how much you achieve.

Let’s change those thinking patterns that keep you stuck in self-doubt and replace them with thoughts and actions that support confidence, clarity, and self-respect. Gain the tools and language to set boundaries, ask for what you need, and speak up without guilt or apology. You’ll learn that being assertive doesn’t mean being rude, it means respecting yourself and others.

  • Do you end the day with a drink to unwind? Or maybe you struggle to socialize without a gummy? You're not alone — many people develop subtle patterns with substances that start to feel necessary just to get through the day. I help folks understand these patterns and build new ways to cope. Using evidence-based tools, we work together to identify triggers, manage cravings, and create healthier routines.

I also support loved ones in making sense of addiction so they can respond with clarity, compassion, and support — without losing themselves in the process
